Mr. Bruce W. Willoughby, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. He was born in Anson County and attended schools in Anson County where he was a member of the JR Faison Band and Class of 71.

Bruce received his GED while in the Army. He was an avid reader and loved music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Christina Willoughby and son, Bruce W. Willoughby Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Stephanie Willoughby Biggers; granddaughter, Sydney Biggers; sister, Nancy W. Harrington (Chris); brother, Ervin T. Willoughby (Beverly); nephews, Christopher Harrington (Tracy); A.J.(Allen) Haynes; Ricky Bryan; nieces, Tiffany Harrington; Alexandra H. Alonso (Miguel), and Melaine Lawson (Prince).

A host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews, loved ones and friends.

A Service to Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Willoughby will be on Saturday, July 11, 2026, 10:30am, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

The Willoughby Family will greet family and friends on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00-10:30am.

Interment will follow in the Madison Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
