On Thursday, July 9, 2026, God dispatched an angel who quietly granted eternal rest to His beloved child, Mrs. Sadie Mae Roe.

Mrs. Sadie Mae Roe, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Ray Hall, was born on April 15, 1926, in Brooks County, Georgia.

She received her education in the Brooks County School System. At an early age, she accepted Christ and united with Dillinoy CME Church, where she remained steadfast in her faith.

For forty-eight dedicated years, she faithfully worked for the family of Dr. Ted and Sharon Swindle, where her loyalty, kindness, and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impression.

Sadie lived a life defined by faith, dedication, love, and quiet strength. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and community will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. Though she has departed this carthly life, her legacy of love will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Sadie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin D. Roe: her parents, Thomas and Eva Ray Hall; one grandson, Rodney Bean; five sisters, Ella Mae Peoples, Hattie Smith, Henrietta Larry, Loretta Gibbs, and Carrie Hall; two brothers, Eugene Hall and Jimmy T. Hall; a special niece, Willie Mae Lately; and her son-in-law, Herbert Taylor.

Cherishing her precious memories and celebrating her remarkable life are her beloved and devoted son, Bobby Morris (Lessie) of Valdosta, GA and daughter, Essie Mae Taylor of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren, Gwendolyn (Eric) Moore, Rickie (Marshay), Curtis, Joyce, Carolyn, and Linda; one sister, Emma L. Merritt of Mims, FL; two brothers, John Hall of Quitman, GA and Robert (Joan) Hall of Valdosta, GA; special and extended family; Dr. Ted and Sharon Swindle and family; her Big Ma Babies, Raven Lee, Kamden Hose, Ahmarra Kreso and Amiya and Ariya Kreso; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, wisdom, and legacy she leaves behind.

The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Dillinoy C.M.E. Church, 509 Railroad Street, Morven, GA 31638. Rev. James B. Miller, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pineview Cemetery in Morven, GA.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
