I John Office

The funeral services for the late Mr. I John Office, who departed this life on Thursday, July 9, 2026, will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Turner County Civic Center in Ashburn, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. I John Office was born on November 22, 1954, in Ashburn Georgia to Mr. And Mrs. Willie C and Mae Lizzie Beckhom Office. From an early age, he developed the strong work ethic, quiet strength, and humble spirit that would define the way he lived his life. He raised three children and was a devoted family man.

John began his career at Eureka and continued his service when the campus transitioned to the new Turner County High School. While working more than 35 years with the Turner County Board of Education, John became a respected leader within the Facilities and Maintenance Department and mentored many employees who came through the department. His areas of expertise included floor care and restoration, carpet maintenance, building maintenance, and a wide range of skilled facility operations. Beyond his career with the school system, John was also an entrepreneur and owner of Office Cleaning Service, where he provided professional cleaning and floor care services for city buildings, commercial businesses, and retail establishments. Whether working for the school system or for his own business, John took great pride in every task, earning the respect of those who knew the quality of his work.

The Lord called John home on July 9, 2026, while he was at home surrounded by his family. He was at peace and resting in the Lord. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Frances Office; his parents, the late Willie C. Office and Mae Lizzie Office; his brothers, Melvin Office and Carl Office; a niece and a nephew.

John leaves to cherish his memories his children, Terrell (Tessa) Wilson, Shedric Office, both of Ashburn, GA, Latoya (Edward) Benton of Atlanta, GA; his goddaughter, Andrea Pierce; his grandchildren, Keshawn Nelson, Ontario Wilson, Jr., Olivia Wilson, Xariah Office, Zakiyah Office, Jaylasia Office, Emari Benton, Emili Benton, Embri Benton; his great grandson, Tylan Wilson; his sisters, Laverne (James) Troutman, Patricia Office, both of Ashburn, GA, Linda (Joseph) Vaughn of Tifton, GA; his brothers, Richard Office, Willie James Office, both of Ashburn, GA, Willie (Mary) Office of Tifton, GA, Lester (Gail) Office of Sanford, FL, Joe L. (Yvonne) Johnson of Riviera Beach, FL; a special friend, Lovey Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
