Logan T. Mitchell, 91, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Logan was a retired educator from legacy Memphis City Schools where he dedicated 32 years of his career to enhancing education for all students. Born February 19, 1935, in Lexington, Mississippi, Logan was the son of the late Theodore Mitchell and the late Inez Logan Mitchell. Logan leaves behind his loving wife, Joyce Colbert Mitchell; his son, Logan B. Mitchell; his sisters, Ora Hunter, and Catheryn Martin; his brother, Wesley Mitchell; his grandchildren, Andrea Richardson and Ariel Williams; grandsons: Ivan Richardson, Nicholas Richardson, Joel Richardson, and Elijah Williams; great-granddaughter, Ya’el Richardson; other family, relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friday, July 31, 2026, 4:00pm to 7:00pm Celebration of Life: Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00pm Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1080 N. Manassas St. Memphis, TN 38107 Interment : New Park Cemetery, 4536 Horn Lake Road, Memphis, TN 38109.
