Roderick “Ricky” Allen, 75 of Eden, NC passed Wednesday August 5, 2026. The “Celebration of Life” will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at St. John United Methodist Church, 1112 Center Church Rd. Eden, NC. Interment will follow at Hairston’s Family Cemetery, 174 Shady Grove Rd. Eden, NC.

Public viewing will be held at the church 30 minutes prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Roderick “Ricky” Allen passed from earth to glory on August 5, 2026 at Ancora Compassionate Care, Reidsville, NC. Ricky was born on August 2, 1950. He was the beloved son of the late Johnsie Elizabeth Allen in Rockingham County.

Ricky graduated from John Motley Morehead High School in 1968 and later attended Kittrell College. He served as a healthcare worker and provided individual personal care. Prior to this experience, Ricky enjoyed teaching and leading little children in the various daycare settings. When not working, he enjoyed playing sports and coaching women's softball.

Ricky loved to be active. he enjoyed the opportunities to him as a member of St. James Lodge #138. In addition, Ricky was an active member of St. John United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed serving his Lord.

He leaves behind a host of loving family members and friends.
