Funeral service for Lakeia Price, 45, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Reverend Troy Clark will officiate.

Ms. Price, who passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born May 5, 1981, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, August 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Joann (Gregg) Brown of Opelika, AL and David Maddox of Albany, GA; one sister, Simone “Vasha” Maddox of Auburn, AL; three brothers, Cornelius Jones, Daviean Chase Maddox both of Opelika, AL and Cedric Smith of Valley, AL; grandmother, Lillie Pearl Brown of Auburn, AL; five aunts, Ruby Olgetree, Sarah Reese, Doris Cartwright, Louise Martin all of Opelika, AL and Tonya Brown of Auburn, AL; one niece, Lyric Cook of Opelika, AL; god-mother, Rita Black of Phenix City, AL; god-grandparents, Joe and Doris Hughley, and Juanita Lyles all of Opelika, AL; god-sister, Shantoria Love of Auburn, AL; god-brother, Cedric Ingram; a host of god-aunts, cousins and friends.
