George Arliss Murphy, Jr., 80, transitioned Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Brookstone Living Center, Pollocksville, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Murphy, of the home; two sons, George Murphy, III., and Joseph Murphy; four daughters, Theresa Murphy, Jean Aseiadu, Inyoca Holloway and Shmeria Murphy; two brothers, William Stafford and Walter Hogan; three sisters, Mary Green, Edna Massey and Esther Burton; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
