It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony W. King who departed this life on August 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on November 2, 1951, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Anthony was the son of the Wayne & Mary King. He spent his formative years in Goldsboro before relocating to the Shenango Valley in 1970, where he would build a life filled with love, laughter, and community.
Anthony dedicated many years of his life to the steel industry, beginning at Sharon Steel before continuing his career at Wheatland Tube, where he was known as a reliable and hardworking crane man. His contributions to the industry were a source of pride and joy, reflecting his commitment to his work and the people around him.
A beloved member of the Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle in Farrell, Pennsylvania, for over 40 years, Anthony found solace and strength in his faith. He was known for his kind spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering support for his family and friends. His joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Anthony was an avid sports enthusiast, passionately cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia 76ers, and his favorite player, Dr. J. Whether it was baseball, auto racing, hockey, or college football, he brought enthusiasm and energy to every game. His love for sports enriched his relationships, bringing friends and family together to share in the excitement.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Rev. Henrietta White-King, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years; his stepchildren, Fran Allen (Alphonse) of Xenia, Ohio, Darrien White Sr. (Zolinda) of Solon, Ohio, and Alisa Russell (Thomas); his nieces, Renee King of Sharon, Pennsylvania, and Tonya King of Macon, Georgia; as well as an impressive legacy of 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished dearly.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his brother, Don King; his sister, Cookie King; and his stepson, Michael White.
As we gather to honor the life of Anthony, we will carry his spirit in our hearts, remembering his warmth, joy, and zest for life that touched us all. Services to honor his life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, with 10:00 AM public viewing and calling hours at the Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1126 Fruit Ave., Farrell, PA. The Celebration of Life Services will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Deborah Lewis Sanders as the officiant.
