Annie Belle Saunders was born in Covington, Tennessee, to the late Eva and Dewey Harris. She peacefully departed this life on August 1, 2026.

At an early age, Annie Belle accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and united with Metropolitan Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, under the leadership of Dr. Lofton, where she faithfully nurtured her Christian faith.

Annie Belle was deeply committed to education. She graduated from LeMoyne College and Columbia University. She was also a proud and devoted member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, exemplifying its ideals of scholarship, service, and sisterhood.

Annie Belle leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving daughter, Pamela Saunders; along with a host of devoted nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, cherished friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and grace.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm until 4 pm on Saturday August 8, 2026. Service of celebration will be 11 am Monday August 10, 2026 at Metropolitan Baptist Church 757 Walker Ave. Interment will follow in Kings Hill Cemetery in Covington, TN.
