Norman “Ricky” V. Jenkins, age 77, entered into his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born on February 8, 1949, in Danville, Kentucky, Ricky was the son of Benjamin and Kathleen Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan Riley.

Ricky was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville and a member of his school class club, "The '49ers." He retired from Centre College after many years of service. Ricky valued the many friendships he built over the years. An easygoing person who loved to connect with others, he always enjoyed taking drives and visiting friends. During his time at Danville Centre, Ricky deeply cherished the social interaction, games, outings, crafts, and laughter, as well as the special time spent with his longtime friend, Raymond Houston.

He is survived by his sister, Sandra Jenkins of Washington, D.C.; two nephews, Joey and Jeremy Riley; and maternal aunts, Mrs. Sarah (Arnold) Coffey, Carolyn Arrington; uncle, John Goggins; host of other relatives and friends.
