It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Bobbie Jean Moore, who left this world peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 5, 1952, to the union of Robert Moore and Carrie (Ellis) Moore in Alberta, AL, Bobbie spent her life radiating warmth and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune to know her.

Bobbie brought laughter and love into her home, which served as a gathering place for family and friends. Known for her infectious positivity, she had a special affinity for the color red, which made her feel glamorous, sexy and alive. An ardent lover of music, especially blues, and a connoisseur of fragrances, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met with her vibrant spirit and creativity.

A proud 1972 South “Warrior” High School graduate, Bobbie was an accomplished certified nurse aide and dedicated her career to the long-term health care industry, serving her community at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Her nurturing spirit and dedication to others exemplified her passion for caregiving.

She leaves to cherished memories entrusted to her beloved children Marcus L. Moore and Unika Moore. Bobbie was also a proud grandmother to Zye’Asia, Nayla, Darnell, Monyce, Malakah, and Malahn, who will carry on her legacy of love. She is survived by her sister Alma Stanley, her beloved aunts Ruby Boyd, Liz Moore and uncle Walter Boyd, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

As Bobbie triumphantly crossed the celestial sands into eternity, she now enjoys a heavenly reunion with her parents; sister Ella Wilkins; grandparents Henry Moore, Luella Moore, William Green, Janie (Rand) Ellis; grandchild Cle'Veal Workman and great grandchild Ahmad Anderson, each who preceded her.

The celebration of Bobbie's life will be held at Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave, on Saturday, August 15, 2026. A 9:00 AM public viewing will take place, followed by funeral service at 10:00 AM, with Chaplain Kevin Carson of Hospice of the Valley, who ministered to Bobbie in her final days, delivering an uplifting message.

After a committal ceremony, Bobbie will be laid to rest among the serene estates of Tod Homestead Cemetery, 2200 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, OH 44505.

As we gather to honor and remember Bobbie, we embrace the love and joy she often shared with many. In her own words, “Have safe and blessed one,” - for this is not goodbye, but a “see you later.” Let us celebrate a life fully lived and a spirit that will continue to shine through all of us.
