Elizabeth Mattison, a cherished member of the Olive Branch community, transitioned peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and love. A devoted member of Olive Fellowship Baptist Church of Memphis, TN, Elizabeth served faithfully as a deacon and contributed her gifts to the Palms Ministry, Scholarship Day, October Birthday Club, and the Wedding Planning Committee. Her presence brought warmth, organization, and joy to every ministry she touched.


Born and raised in Memphis, Elizabeth graduated from Melrose High School and continued her education at the University of Tennessee, where she was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Black UTK. Her commitment to leadership, sisterhood, and community uplift remained central throughout her life.
Professionally, Elizabeth built a distinguished career marked by excellence and dedication. She served over 10 years at First Horizon Bank and later devoted more than 20 years to GreyStone Commercial Real Estate, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.


Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory her loving son, Aaron Mattison, and her devoted brother, Willie Dandridge. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and James Woods, and her brothers James, David, and Raford. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended loved ones who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.


Her life was a testament to service, faith, and unwavering love. Her legacy will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21st, 2026 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Olivet Fellowship Baptist Church in Memphis, TN with funeral services immediately afterwards. Burial will take place at New Park Horn Lake.
