Obituary Jennetta Franklin Earls was born November 5, 1947, in Durham NC to the late James Alfred Franklin and Viola Garrett Franklin. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Jennetta graduated from Hillside High School in 1967. She worked for Verizon for over 30 years and retired in the early 90s. Jennetta was a devoted servant of the Lord and His ministries.

As a faithful member of New Life Christian Center for 33 years, she served as the coordinator of the Rest Home Ministry.

Jennetta was predeceased by her husband William Michael Earles, five brothers, and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories one brother - James A. Franklin (Barnia) of Durham; two sisters - Sarah M. Fields of Texas and Deborah F. Williams of Durham; four nieces - Anissa Barron (Keith) of Charlotte NC, Linda Richardson of Florida, Aretha F. Wilson (Arthur) of Burlington NC, and Diane M. Garrett of Durham; six nephews - Carlton F.S. Williams (Brittany) of Durham, George Leon Garrett (Nina) of Newark NJ, Gene Garrett (Jackie) of Atlanta GA, Clarence Garrett (Tabitha) of McLeansville NC, Lamont Garrett of Hickory NC, and Toni Williams (Kim) of Maryland; Goddaughter Geneva Jones; special friends Catherine Bostic and Josephine Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends; and she loved her church family so very much.

Jennetta gratefully appreciated her Pastor Andrew Singletary and Pastor Cheryl Singletery for entrusting her to coordinate the Rest Home Ministry for many years.
