Herman Rucker peacefully departed this life on August 13, 2026, at his residence.

Herman was a proud United States Army veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. He will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Bishop Rucker and Mamie Wansley, and his siblings, Outher Welton Rucker, James Junior Rucker, Leo Nathaniel Rucker, Ethel Bernice Rucker, Billy Frank Rucker Sr., Howard Wansley (Rucker), Marshall Rucker, and Carlton Rucker Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Kristain (Amos) Williams; three grandchildren; his significant other, Shirley Mack, and her family; his lifelong friend, Tillman Wilson; his surviving sisters, Clara Mae Tomlin and Christine Summers; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Herman’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life, service, and the love he shared with his family will never be forgotten.
