We gather today to celebrate the beautiful life of our beloved Adrianne Floyd Brooks — our devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Though we walk through deep grief, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18. We find comfort in the lasting warmth, love, and light she brought into our lives.

Milestones and Dedication

Adrianne's journey was defined by hard work, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to her family. After graduating from Pearl High School, she lived out Proverbs 31:27 -"She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness" — dedicating herself fully to her home as a stay-at-home mother. Later, she brought that same strength into the

workforce. Starting as a cashier, her sharp leadership quickly shone through, earning her a promotion to Shift Manager — a role she held proudly until health reasons. Colossians 3:23 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men," and Adrianne lived that.

Faith and Personal Life

Above all, Adrianne loved God fiercely. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, running her race with endurance as Hebrews 12:1 calls us to do. Those who knew her knew she was a true force of nature — independent, sharp, and all about business. A "dollar on a dollar" woman, yet she possessed a genuine heart of gold, reflecting Proverbs 31:20: "She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy."

She loved to read, sew, watch gangster movies, and travel to different cities, towns, and states just for fun. Nobody could forget her love for talking on the phone collecting her money tab. Plus ,her habit of buying in bulk to ensure her home always had everything anyone could need. She was fiercely dependable and always ready to help — a living picture of Galatians 6:2: "Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ."

A Mother's Precious Gift

To us, the most precious word in the world will always be "Mother." Adrianne was our entire world, our best friend, and our closest confidante. Isaiah 66:13 says, "As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you," and that's what she did for us. Whenever we stumbled, she was there with a tender touch and a warm, gentle grin.

Thank you, Mamma, for teaching us so well and for every ounce of love you showed us. Proverbs 31:28 declares, "Her children rise up and call her blessed." We promise to spend the rest of our lives making you proud.
