The Reverend Dr. Samuel Everett, of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.

Reverend Dr. Samuel Everett was the pastor of Sunrise Worship Center in Marianna, Florida. He was a respected civic leader and dedicated public servant. He served almost three decades with the City of Marianna Public Works Department holding various leadership positions. To know him was to love him.

Reverend Dr. Samuel Everett was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Everett; his mother, Margaree Everett; his brother Ezzard Everett; and his sisters, Patrice Everett, Patricia Everett and Shirley Rhynes.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Rivertown Community Church located at 4534 Lafayette Street in Marianna, Florida.

Interment will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery in Marianna, Florida with military honors.

Dr. Everett will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
