Jacqueline Yvonne “Jackie” Wiggins was born in Wake County to the late Reverend Elmo Thorpe and the late Reverend Bessie Lee Thorpe on June 21, 1948. She departed this life on June 10, 2026.

Jacqueline attended the Apex Consolidated School and graduated in 1966.

Jacqueline was employed by Wake County Public School System as a teacher's assistant for over 30 years. She remained there until retirement. Jacqueline retired and worked for the City of Raleigh Foster grandparent program as a foster grandparent.

At an early age, Jacqueline accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She became a member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church on Louisburg Road of Raleigh, NC. with the Reverend Ronald Avery as her pastor.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer Louise Thorpe.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish memories: her daughter, Linda Watkins (Rob) of Garner, NC; son Travis Wiggins of Garner, NC; special friend, George Dixon of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Sylvia Thorpe of Apex, NC and Kathryn Council (Perry) of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Dorothy Thorpe; five grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
