OBITUARY:
Mary Liza Perry Pitchford peacefully entered eternal rest on June 14, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on February 16, 1951, Mary was a proud native of Kerin Plantation, Mississippi. She attended and graduated from Tchula Attendance Center in Tchula, Mississippi, in 1969.
Mary was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or drive someone wherever they needed to go. Her caring spirit and selfless nature touched countless lives. Mary enjoyed fishing watching nature shows, shopping, gardening and spending time outdoors Known as a "jack of all trades," she could do just about anything she set her mind to and was admired for her resourcefulness and determination.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Wilson and Slyvester Wilson; her husband, L.C. Pitchford; her siblings, Gilbert Perry, Frankie Mae Wiet, Caletha Morris, Earleane Anderson, and Willie Wilson; and her grandsons: Michael Walker Jr. and DeAndre' Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael (Jennifer) Walker of Lexington, MS; Michelle (Alfred) Moore of Memphis, TN; Marie Walker of Lexington, MS; Herbert Walker of Cruger, MS; and stepdaughter Tina Pitchford of Greenwood, MS. She is also survived by her siblings: J.B. (Lilian) Perry of West Memphis, AR; Yonne Perry, Sylvester Wilson, and Barbara Wilson of Memphis, TN; and Clara (Floyd) Perry-Cross of Cruger, MS; eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, special nieces: Kimberly Perry and Tiffany Perry; special nephew: Troy Perry, a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends, and other loved ones, Mary's greatest joy was her family. Her legacy of love, compassion, hard work and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved
