Ms. Vickie Renee McMillan

Passed 07/01/2026

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Vickie McMillan, who peacefully departed this life on July 1, 2026, at the age of 63.

Vickie was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering compassion, and a heart that never stopped giving. She dedicated much of her professional life to serving others as a Scheduler and Office Manager with Caring Hands Home Health, where she worked tirelessly to ensure her clients received the care and services they needed. She believed everyone deserved to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect, and she carried those values into every aspect of her life.

A proud athlete, Vickie was a fierce competitor throughout her high school years at T. Wingate Andrews, participating in multiple sports and always giving her best. Her competitive spirit continued into adulthood as she enjoyed playing softball, a game she loved for both the competition and the friendships it brought.

Outside of work, Vickie embraced life with enthusiasm. She was a devoted fan of Duke basketball and never missed an opportunity to cheer on the Blue Devils. She also loved spending time playing bingo, where her competitive nature and joyful personality were always on full display. Whether celebrating a win or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, she found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

Above all else, Vickie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother whose unconditional love, guidance, and sacrifices shaped the lives of her children, Mario McMillan and Joe McMillan. Her love was constant, her support unwavering, and her presence a source of comfort and strength to all who knew her.

Vickie’s legacy is one of compassion, determination, generosity, and love. She leaves behind countless memories that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that her love will remain with us always.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel, 1810 Brockett Avenue, High Point, NC. Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 4:00 p.m.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Vickie’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

“Your love was our greatest blessing, your strength our greatest example, and your memory will forever be our greatest treasure. Rest peacefully, Mom. Until we meet again.”

Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
