Frederick Lashon Lewis, 61, entered eternal life on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Fred was born on June 17, 1965, to Marjorie D. Taylor (Joe) and Frederick E. Atkinson.

Fred accepted Christ at an early age and joined The Church of the Living God, later moving his membership to Progressive Baptist Church. Fred was faithful to the ministry and served as a member of the Voices of Praise choir, Male Chorus and a member of the Trustee Board.

Fred graduated from Henry County High School, Class of 1985, and went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1990. He was employed by Dana Corp as an Extrusion Operator until declining health.

Fred's greatest joy was being the father of Jaaron Connor Lewis, a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Father and son cherished their time together, especially sharing meals at Cheddar's and Outback.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie, and his father, Frederick.

Fred leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory: his loving son, Jaaron Connor Lewis; his siblings, Alicia M. Lewis (Paris, TN), Mary L. Floyd (Lexington, KY), Nikki Atkinson (Washington, D.C.), Jan Atkinson (Atlanta, GA), Curtis E. Lewis (Clarksville, TN), Reginald Caldwell (Paris, TN) and Kivian Taylor (Atlanta, GA). Special aunts and uncle: Barbara Gray, Samuel and Gale Tharpe and best friend Gary Sanders, extended family Shannon Smouthers, Brenda McKinney, Wally Smouthers, Jammie Adkisson and Jamie Ryman. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Memphis family.
