OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 732 N. Union Street, Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Angela Meche, 64, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 21, 2026, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA.

Fr. Justin Arockiasamy, SVD will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mrs. Semien’s memories are being cherished by: her two children, Roderick Meche, Jr. and Adrien Donelson, both of Fisher, IN; her mother, Barbara Fontenot of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Perry (Shaun) Gallow and Spencer (Linda) Gallow, both of Opelousas, LA and Brian (Angela) Gallow of Church, Point, LA; four grandchildren, Isyss Donelson, Charyss Majors, Kailynn Meche and Kaicynn Meche; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Roderick Meche, Sr.; her father, Brian Gallow, Sr.; her stepfather, Nolan Fontenot and her brother, Galen Gallow.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
