James Lee Bell was born in Madison, Florida, on December 16,1953, to the late Eugene Bell and Ms. Mary Magdalene Fiffie. He attended Madison County Schools, and later, as a young man, he started his career in brick masonry, assisting and supervising
others.
James Bell gave his life to Christ at an early age and visited many churches.
He had four sisters who are now deceased; Emma Jean Dobson, Minnie Cooks, Annie Lee Persley, and Maggie May White. He was also preceded in death by five brothers: Willie C Bell, John Bell, Roscoe Bell, And Herbert Golver, all of Madison. He leaves behind two brothers, Angel Glover (Patricia Glover) of Brooks County, and his brother Jessie Bell (Ruthie Bell) of Madison Florida. He also leaves behind a host of
nephews and nieces and lots of family and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at the Rocky Springs Missionary Baptist Church (4368 North State Rd. 53, Madison, FL). Live stream will be available. Visitation will take place at the beginning of the funeral service.
