Queen Esther Crumb

Funeral service for Queen Esther Crumb 91, will be Wednesday, October 6, 2026 at 11 am at the Pure Holiness Church of America with Pastor Fred Young, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery. Mother Crumb passed away on September 30, 2026 at NHC Healthcare, Anniston.

Mrs. Crumb graduated from Ophelia S. Hill School in Munford, AL. After 20 years of service she retired from Holiday Inn, Nashville, TN and relocated back to Oxford, AL and she attended Pure Holiness Church of Sweet Rock, which is the same church she attended as a young girl. Mother Queen enjoyed singing and playing the tambourine in church.

Survivors include her "Bro," Deacon Jewel Elston; sister: Dixie Payne; grandsons: Antonio Goldthreate, Alrenzo Pullens; sister in-law: Brooksie Haney, nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Haney and Dora Young, her husband, Minister Robert Crumb and her sons, Stanley and Anthony Crumb, brother, Roosevelt Haney, sisters, Sarah Helen Morgan and Mona Hughes.
