Reverend Tinsey Wilcher of Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Reverend Wilcher was the son of Avis Neal and C. W. Wilcher. A devoted servant of God, he was the pastor and founder of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. His life reflected his commitment to his faith, his family, and the ministry to which he was called.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita Jackson Wilcher; two children, Johnny J. Wilcher and Willie B. Wilcher; one brother, John Willie Wilcher; and one sister, Lillie Ruth Mathis.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Barbara Wilcher, Denise Crawford, Michael A. Wilcher, and Samantha Jenkins; one sister, Ollie Mae Warthen; and his grandchildren, Tyrone R. Wilcher, Angel T. Freeman, Robert J. Wilcher, Cane T. Young, Krystal S. Young, LaToya D. Harrison, Barnard N. Burke, LeShanda Harmon, Tavaris M. Wilcher, Johnny D. Wilcher, Alexandria G. Jenkins, and Tavis Miller.
Reverend Wilcher also leaves a host of other loving relatives, church family, and friends who will cherish his memory and the legacy of faith he leaves behind.
Public viewing will be held Friday, October 16, 2026, from 2 to 6 pm.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6pm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, 1809 Fairview Avenue, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
Interment will follow at Holly Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Warthen, Georgia.
