Tyler Hinson

09/19/1985 - 10/04/2026

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Tyler Anderson Hinson, who departed this world on October 4, 2026, after a valiant and brief battle with cancer. Tyler, born on September 19, 1985, in Memphis, Tennessee, was a beacon of joy, laughter, and generosity to everyone he encountered.

Tyler was the beloved son of Allan and Peg Hinson, who have preceded him in death, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that Tyler carried throughout his life. He is survived by his adoring wife, T'Calla, whom he married on November 11, 2022. Their union was a testament to true friendship and mutual respect, each making the other a better person through their loving and caring relationship.

Tyler was a devoted father to his daughters, Avianna Elizabeth Monroe Hinson, Salem Elaine Denise Hinson, and Riley Neil Hinson, his daughter from a previous marriage (mother, Amber) all who brought immense joy to his world. His life was further enriched by his sister, Elaina (Chip) Cayce; his nephews, Zach and Dalton (Samantha) Cayce; his brother, Patrick (Jennifer) Hinson; his nephew, Joseph Morrison; and his nieces, Samantha Plunk, Madalyn (Hunter) Huffman, Bailey (Jackson) Hinson and Lynley Hinson. He also had two great-nephews, Greyson and Owen Huffman, and two great-nieces, Gracie Cayce and Ada McCrady (coming in January 2027). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many devoted friends. His best friend, Marcus Upchurch (who preceded him in death), shared countless cherished memories with him, particularly with the Memphis Mustangs Club, where they spent weekends in younger days.

Tyler was a man of many talents and passions. His last professional chapter was at Glory Global Solutions, where he found joy and camaraderie with his colleagues. Beyond work, he was a fervent sports enthusiast, ever faithful to the Titans and an avid fan of the Grizzlies and Memphis Tigers basketball teams. Bowling was another of his cherished pastimes, where he found community and fun.

His heart was as vast as his interests. Known for his big heart and generous spirit, Tyler was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to those in need. With a great sense of humor and an innate desire to befriend everyone he met, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

As we remember Tyler, we hold on to the special message from his family:

“Tyler was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.” His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the memories we cherish.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 1:00pm-1:55pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00pm both will be held at RS Lewis & Sons Funeral Home 3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38127
