Funeral service for Peggy Diane McLain 74, will be Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 11 AM at the Ohatchee First Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Massey, officiating. Interment will follow in Ohatchee First Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. McLain' passed away on October 4, 2026 at Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital. Mrs. McLain's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Visitation will be on Tuesday, 1 - 6 pm and the family will receive visitors from 3 - 6 PM. She was a member of Ohatchee First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for over 55 years and a dedicated choir member. She was Known for her joyful spirit, laughter, and love for dancing, traveling, and family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Shelly McLain; her children: Jennifer McLain, Shelly James McLain Jr. ("Scamp"), and Shirley Ann McLain-Vaughn (Darrick); 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; ten siblings; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
