Mr. George Gibbons entered into God's eternal rest October 12th, 2026 at his home in Grovetown GA. He was born December 24th, 1949 in Louisville GA.

He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Hardeman-Springfield MBC. In 2001 he wanted to be baptized again when he became a member of Beulah Grove MBC in Augusta GA. George received his education and graduated from Louisville High school with the class of 1967. He moved to the states of New York & Florida for several years, before deciding to come back home.

George worked in Flooring installation as a subcontractor for The Carpet Shop (Merit Flooring) for over 35 years and was excellent in his field. He loved watching 3 things, his wife, his westerns and his Dallas Cowboys!

George was a good and devoted husband as well as a wonderful father. He is survived by his wife Mrs. J.R. Stewart-Gibbons of the home, his daughter Takisha Collins, and his daughter by marriage Ragenica Stewart, both of Augusta GA, his son by marriage, Andre Dunbar of Williston SC, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother, four sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Family will receive friends Friday, October 23, 2026 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, 1434 Poplar Street, Augusta, Georgia.
