Mrs. Gladiola Marjorie Ijames Little, 97, of Cherryville, North Carolina, peacefully transitioned on Friday, October 16, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on August 30, 1929, in Gaston County, North Carolina, to the late Hubert Ijames and Mattie Wilson Ijames.

Mrs. Little attended public schools in Gaston County and was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Throughout her working years, she was employed as a housekeeper in private homes.

Funeral Arrangements

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A public walk-through will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM at Ebony & White's Funeral Service.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the home of Nathan and Linda Geter, 1635 Stony Point Road, Shelby, NC 28150, Tuesday, October 20 through Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
