With hearts surrendered to God’s perfect will, we announce that Mr. Aaron Footman has graciously accepted Heaven’s invitation and entered into eternal rest Friday, August 14, 2026, in Tallahassee, FL. Having completed his earthly journey, he now rejoices in the everlasting presence of the Lord, where pain is no more and peace is everlasting.

Aaron a lifelong resident of Tallahassee, Florida, was born November 6, 1941 to Ebenezer Footman and Annie Bell Footman.

He received his early education in the public schools of Leon County. He was employed with Florida A&M as a Groundskeeper.

Left to cherish his life, love and memory is his loving and devoted wife, Mary Wiliford Footman; two sons, Raymond Haynes (Elisabeth) and Tony Jerome Branton (Carolyn); three daughters, Abby Branton, Maria Kelly (William) and Ruby Nicholson (Ray); three sisters, Effie Tolbert, Daisy Bell Lovett (Jean Claude) and Dairlene Clemons; one daughter-in-law, Flamisean Footman; 23 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Ebenezer and Annie Bell Footman and son, Ricky Carlos Footman.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mr. Aaron Footman will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1200 Church, 1200 West Tharpe Street, Tallahassee, FL, with burial at St. Phillip A.M.E. Church cemetery.
