Mrs. Irma Hawkins, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Cottondale, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Howard University Hospital, in Washington, D.C.

Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Bethlehem AME Church located at 3100 Lovewood Road in Cottondale, Florida.

Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hawkins will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

One Daughters: Ina (Don) Hawkins of Tallahassee, Florida

Two Sons: Sheldon White and Dr. Juan White both of Washington, D.C.

Five Step-children: Charles Hawkins, Rev. Evonski Bulger, Valerie Franklin, Jeffrey Hawkins and Rick Hawkins

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, step grandchildren, other relatives and many dear friends.
