A Celebration of Life and Catholic church service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM at St. Peter’s Church in Belleville, New Jersey.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Bassett, age 51, of Belleville, New Jersey, who passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026.

Marjorie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, partner, grandmother, and friend. She was the beloved partner of Abraham Figuerioa and a devoted mother to Paul Bassett, Krystal Rasczyk, and Julia Rasczyk. She was also a loving grandmother to Caden Curiel, who brought immense joy to her heart.

Marjorie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was always by her children’s side, supporting them through every step of life, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. She always wanted what was best for her children and would do anything she could to help them find their way.

She was known for having an incredibly big heart. Marjorie believed in forgiveness, kindness, and giving back to others. She had a way of making people feel loved and cared for, and she gave so much of herself to the people around her.

Some of her happiest moments were spent with her family. She loved the beach, especially visiting Seaside Heights, walking along the boardwalk, enjoying the stands, and simply being together with the people she loved. She also adored her beloved dog, Willow, who was a special part of her family and her heart.

Above all, Marjorie was a fighter through and through. Even during the most difficult moments, she never gave up. She continued to fight, to love, and to hold on because she wanted more time with the people who meant everything to her. Her strength was extraordinary, and that strength will live on through her children and everyone whose life she touched.

Though her family will miss her more than words can express, Marjorie’s love will never leave them. Her kindness, her strength, her forgiveness, and her enormous heart will continue through the lives of those she loved.

Her memory will live on in every sunset at the beach, every walk along the boardwalk, every moment shared with family, and in the hearts of the people who were lucky enough to know and love her.

Family and friends are welcome to gather together to honor Marjorie, celebrate her life, and remember the love she gave so freely.
