Funeral service for Gwendolyn Milford, 58, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Mt. Pelia Missionary Baptist Church, 377 Lee Road 78, Camp Hill, AL, 36850 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Reverend Otis Tyner, Jr. will officiate.

Mrs. Milford, who passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born March 28, 1968, in Macon County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Monday, August 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Milford will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Deacon Kenny Milford of Loachapoka, AL; three children, Coderia (Keilundra) Philpot of Opelika, AL, Kendrianna Milford and Brittany Milford of Auburn, AL; loving parents, Jewel and Belinda Philpot of Auburn, AL; six grandchildren, Trevon Heard, Azaria Milford, Jamon Philpot, Kaelynn Milford, Jalen Philpot and Kali Philpot; two sisters, Jennifer (Jessie) Jones and Kimberly (Melvin) Felton both of Auburn, AL; one brother, Christopher (Corniki) Philpot of Auburn, AL; three uncles, Ernest (Sally) Philpot, Willie Frank Philpot both of Auburn, AL and Michael Tatum of Tuskegee, AL; seven aunts, Leader Mate Tatum, Martha Ann Watson both of Tuskegee, AL, Debbie Simpson of Tallassee, AL, Veree (Stanley) Roberson of Mobile, AL, Evelyn Philpot, Annie Wilborn of Auburn, AL and Louise Wilson of Millbrook, AL; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith of Opelika, AL; two brothers-in-law, Carl (Tuwana) Milford of Opelika, AL and Bobby (Bernice) Milford of Auburn, AL; two special nieces, Latoria Isabel of Opelika, AL and Shonita (Raymond) Mosley of Lithonia, GA; a bonus son, Kentez Holcey of Opelika, AL; a special cousin, Carolyn Askew of Tallassee, AL; a special friend, Sandra Hutchinson of Loachapoka, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
