Micheal Leon Spencer, Sr. was born on October 3, 1959, in Quitman, Georgia, to the late Wallace Spencer and Mary Davis Spencer. He peacefully departed this life on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, hard work, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Micheal was one of eight children born to this union. At a very young age, he joined Bethany Baptist Church, where he was introduced to the foundation of faith and family that remained an important part of his life.

He received his education through the Brooks County Public School System, graduating with the Class of 1977–1978. During his school years and throughout his life, Micheal was known for his strong work ethic, determination, and willingness to provide for those he loved.

Micheal met and later married Brenda McGhee Spencer, and their union was blessed with one son, Micheal Leon Spencer, Jr. His son held a very special place in his heart, and Micheal took great pride in the family and legacy they shared.

Professionally, Micheal dedicated most of his adult life to the construction industry. He worked as a construction worker, where his responsibilities included building, repairing, and maintaining structures such as roads, bridges, and buildings. He genuinely enjoyed working outdoors and took pride in the work he did. His hands were accustomed to hard work, and his dedication to his profession reflected the hardworking and dependable man he was.

Micheal will forever be remembered and lovingly cherished by his devoted son, Micheal Leon Spencer, Jr. (Stephenie); his siblings, Eddie Lee (Sonya), Johnny Lee (Helen, preceded in death), Wallace Spencer, Jr. (Kara), Joyce (John), Stephen (preceded in death), Merrill Eugene, and Rodriguez (Tanya); and his beloved grandchildren, Kalvyn, Jakiya, Jamiya, Shakeerah, Kenneth, Zakiyla, and Devohney.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his precious great-granddaughter, Deshonna, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched throughout the years.

Micheal Leon Spencer, Sr. leaves behind more than memories—he leaves behind a family who loved him, a legacy built through hard work and perseverance, and countless moments that will be treasured for generations to come. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
