Debra L. Bowen age 62, was summoned to her heavenly home Wednesday August 12,2026 at Mercy Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Affectionately known as Debbie, she was born on January 5,1964 in Youngstown to the union of Hubert Bowens and Marie Campbell. As a loving and supportive mother and a woman, Debbie’s warmth and spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Debbie was a graduate of Youngstown’s South High School. The proud Warrior found a career as a paraprofessional within the Youngtown Hospital Association, retiring from the Northside Hospital facility.

Above all, Debbie was a great mother and amazing grandmother who loved her family deeply and took great pride in the people she loved. Debbie will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, her devotion to her family, and the special way she made the people in her life feel cared for.

Debbie also had a special love for the Dallas Cowboys. Whether she was watching a game, cheering them on, or talking football with family and friends, her Cowboys spirit was always a part of her. Her enthusiasm brought joy, laughter, and many memorable moments to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love and memories she leaves behind will remain forever.

Debbie leaves behind her son Eugene “Petey” Bowens (Shanreka Jones) who was the apple of her eye and her beloved grandson Eugene Bowens Jr. in whom she helped to nurture. She also leaves precious memories and moments with her sister Tina Fisher, a special niece/daughter Shaqueenia Armstrong whom she also helped rear and Judy Flemings, her partner-in- crime, who supported her up until the very end, along with a score of family and friends who will continue to honor her life, cherish her memory, and carry her love with them.

As she approached Heaven’s Gate, awaiting to welcome her into eternal peace includes her parents, and her brothers Anthony Bowens, Eugene Bowens, Hubert Bowens, Leodius Clark Sr. and William Clark.

The family has elected to have a private and intimate celebration of her life. Whenever the Dallas Cowboys are on the field, fondly recall her passion and support. Let us remember Debra L. Bowens not only for the loss we feel but for the joy, laughter, and love she brought into our lives. Rest peacefully, Deb. You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and never forgotten.
