Emma Jean White, 83, of Memphis, TN passed away on August 16, 2026 at Methodist Hospice House in Memphis, Tennessee. Emma was born on April 6, 1943 to Sylvester and Earlie Mae Holt-Lawshe in Memphis, Tennessee. She is survived by four children, Linda Hamilton (Sam), Shelia D Jones (Jessie), Rodney White (Bridgette), and Mark Newell; one sister, Ruby Chaney and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester White and Earlie Mae Holt-Lawshe. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28th, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Mt Vernon Baptist Church 620 Parkrose Memphis, TN 38109. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt Vernon Baptist Church 620 Parkrose Memphis, TN 38109. the interment will follow at The New Park Cemetery.
