Memorial service for Jimmie Golatte, 81, of Camp Hill, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, August, 28, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Charlie Pulliam will officiate.
Mr. Golatte, who passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026 in Dadeville, Alabama, was born July 20, 1945, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
There will be no public viewing. The family will be present to receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mary Golatte; four children, Victor Golatte, Jennifer Edwards both of Auburn, AL, Marcus Kimble of Opelika, AL and Tomekia (Brockery) Golatte-Hamm of Hampton, GA; two sisters, Nellie Jo (Andrew) Bickerstaff and Brenda (Cecil) Canada both of Camp Hill, AL; three brothers, Walter B. (Fredonia) Golatte of Camp Hill, AL, D.L. (Sherri) Golatte of Lowell, AR and Bobby “Bo” Black of Camp Hill, AL; ten grandchildren, Keon (Jennifer) Golatte, Shtoya Golatte, Krishuna Edwards, Desharte’ Edwards, Rodrick Kimble, Martavious Kimble, Jerrell Kimble, Marcus Kimble II, Rhiley Hamm and Avery Hamm; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Golatte and Peggy Golatte; close cousin, Jean Rowe; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
