Donald Eugene Washington went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye R. Washington; his mother, Nellie Ankrum; his father, Clinton E. Washington and his wife Josephine B. Washington.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Kevin E. Washington and Donna Washington of Fridley, Minnesota; a devoted bonus son, James (Tevis) Carter of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters, Sabrina (Henry) Jones of Warner Robins, Georgia; Andrea (Cedric) Portis of Mobile, Alabama; one brother Roosevelt “Larry” (Cheryl) Ankrum of Mobile, Alabama; devoted friend, Johnny Scruggs of Pritchard, Alabama; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
