TYLER----Funeral services for Mr. Mack Arthur Overshown, 65, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026 at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

Mack Arthur Overshown was born on July 30, 1961 in Tyler, Texas to the late Mack and Ruth Hazel Overshown. He passed peacefully on August 24, 2026 surrounded by family. Mack was the oldest child of three and grew up in the St. Louis community of Tyler, Texas. He received his education in the Tyler Independent School district and attended Robert E Lee High School.

Mack accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, life partner and friend whose life touched many people. He genuinely loved spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Mack and Ruth Hazel Overshown.

Mack leaves to cherish his memories: brothers: Lineall Overshown (Sabrina) of Tyler, Texas; Richard Anthony Overshown of Flower Mound, Texas; Children: Tyron Butler, Felicia Butler King, Heath Butler, LaQuita Overshown Banks (LaDelwyn) and Anicia Ervin all of Tyler, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; Life Partner: Shamekia Hill of Dallas, Texas and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.

After a long and courageous battle, Mack peacefully laid down his earthly burdens and entered into eternal rest. Though he will be deeply missed, his loving spirit and cherished memories will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Public Viewing will be on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
