John Henry Murray, Jr., 90, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on June 2, 1936, in Suffolk, New York, to the late John Henry Murray, Sr. and Augusta Messina Murray. He was a high school graduate and proudly served his country in the United States Navy for eight years.

Mr. Murray was Presbyterian by faith. During his working years, he was employed as a welder with Gibson & Cushman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Hillman Murray.
