Marvin Louis Townsend, 74, of Memphis, TN passed away on September 1, 2026 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Marvin was born on December 10, 1951 to James Towles and Lizzie Moore in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was the husband of Lena Townsend.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at RS Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38128. Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 12:00noon at St John Missionary Baptist Church 1656 Pendleton St, Memphis, TN 38114.

Burial will be immediately following the service in Memorial Park Southwoods 5485 Hacks Cross Rd, Memphis, TN 38125
