Mrs. Elizabeth Carter McCloud, passed on Friday, August 21, 2026, while residing in Easton, MA. of natural causes.

After graduating Burke County High School, she moved to Augusta, GA. where she met the love of her life and husband of 42yrs, Jim McCloud, before his passing in 2006. The couple moved to Ayer, MA where they resided for 37 years while raising a family. Elizabeth was a production worker and supervisor at S.A.Y. industries, and later at Nasoya Foods, both in Massachusetts. She was also the bookkeeper/secretary for her husband's trucking company at this time. Upon retirement, the couple moved back south to North Augusta, SC, where Elizabeth worked part-time as a cashier at Publix located on Washington Rd. in Augusta, GA.

She was an enthusiastic and involved member of her church and an avid listener of gospel music. Elizabeth was also an accomplished gardener that loved planting beautiful plant varieties around her home.

She is survived by her sisters Lauretha Gaines of Augusta, GA., Patricia Drake of Salisbury, NC, her brother Everett Carter of Augusta, GA.

Her children, Roxanne Smith, of Greenwood, SC., Larnesa McCloud and her partner Lawrence Williams of Augusta, GA.

Jimmy V. McCloud and his wife Paula of Leominster, MA., Elizabeth Juniene Schoultz and her husband Tim of Beach Island, SC. and Victor McCloud and his wife Darre, of Brockton, MA. Her grandchildren Naomi Cook of Houston, TX., Aaron Walker of San Diego, CA., Courtney Walker of Worcester, MA., Gabrielle Smith of Greenwood, SC., Ericka Schoultz of Augusta, GA., Shannon Schoultz of Atlanta, GA., Ryan McCloud of Norton, MA., Justin McCloud of Norton, MA., and Megan McCloud- Patten of Henderson, NV., along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim McCloud, her father Rev. W.C. Carter Sr., her mother Anita (Gordon) Carter, sisters Anita Boler, Evelyn Gresham, Thelma Parks, and her brothers Leonidas Carter, Willie C. (Bubba) Carter Jr., John Miller Carter, and James Carter.

A memorial service will 11:00 am Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Kinsey & Walton Chapel, followed by interment at Pine View Memorial Gardens, 450 West Five Notch Rd., North Augusta, SC.
