Mr. Keith Edward Woodard passed on Friday, September 4, 2026, at MUSC-Columbia Downtown in Columbia, SC.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held 3:30 PM Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls, South Carolina with Reverend Dr. Keevi Worthy, (pastor of Evangel Temple Assembly of God, Great Falls, South Carolina) delivering the Words of Comfort and Reverend Sharon Knapper,(Goddaughter) officiating and sharing a “Special Message”.

A viewing will be held from 12 Noon-3:30PM Sunday at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls, S.C.

The family is receiving friends at the home.

Keith Edward Woodard was born in Winnsboro, South Carolina to the late Alice and the late Woodrow Wilson Woodard. Keith attended schools in Fairfield County. He work in different locations, but he was mainly self-employed. Keith was a great handyman; painting, building, and creating masterpieces. He was creative in his designs that he often sold. Keith could take the ordinary designs and rearrange it to look like a work of art. He had a magnetic smile that would light up every room. Keith never met a stranger and if you ever met him, he would greet you with his favorite phrase, “Hey Now!”

Keith was preceded in death by his mother, the late Alice Woodard and his father the late Woodrow Wilson Woodard; sisters, Lelia Woodard, Frances Woodard, Debbie Woodard and Linda Woodard-Gaither; brother, Woodrow W. Woodard, Jr.; father in law, John H. Moore; mother in law, Charlie Mae Moore; brother in law, Michael Moore; his grandson, D'Marcus Squirewell.

Keith leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, his wife, Deborah Nelson Woodard; his children, Latasha Sampson, Monique (Ivon) Nelson Miller, Erica Nelson, Racheal Nelson, Christopher (Jayna) Nelson and Nathaniel (Ramona) Nelson; grandchildren, Taniyah Sampson, Quamain Nelson, Amair and Tynia Squirewell, Zipporah Isaiah and Ezra Miller, Christian and Mykel Amaya Nelson, Elijah S. Nelson, Karis and Roman Nelson; great grand. Kaden Peay; his siblings, Margie (Marcus) Young, Sara Woodard, George (Mary) Woodard, Daisy McGraw, John (Mildred) Woodard, James (Michelle) Woodard, Gregory (Harriet) Woodard; sister in law, Jennifer Moore; brother in law, Larry Gaither; a best friend, Herman Wilson (Rashin Muhammed); a special niece, Danielle Taylor-Scott and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
