On the night of September 7, 2026, God whispered the name Carol Linda Jones. Upon hearing her name, she humbly answered the call and transitioned to her mansion in the sky to meet the Lord. Affectionately known as “Linda,” she became the nurturer for the entire family. Carol was born October 20, 1960, in Bunnell, Florida, to the late Mother Vera Lee and Deacon Silas (Buddy) Jones. Carol received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate from Bethune-Cookman College and was ordained as a Missionary of the Pentecost Church of God in Christ by the late Bishop Isaac King Jr. Prior to her departure from this earth, she was surrounded by her children—not her biological children, but the many nieces and nephews she’d raised over the course of their lives. Carol departed this life on September 7, 2026, from Community Hospice at Palatka Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Lee and Silas (Buddy) Jones, and her brothers, Clyde Anthony Jones, Ricky Nelson Jones (Mary, deceased), and Homer “Dwayne” Jones. She leaves behind to cherish her memory and celebrate her life her sister, Veronica Jones Victory (Kenneth); brothers, Alonzo Jones (Alfreda), William Wright (Caroline, deceased), Charlie Jones, Joby Lee Jones Sr. (Dedra, deceased), and Tyrone Bernard Jones (Tina); along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
