Micah Callands

Micah Callands, 55, entered into rest on August 31, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia. He loved and gave his
life to Jesus Christ and was a member of the City of Refuge Christian Learning Center, under the
Leadership of Apostal Sulivan Bush Jr., where he enjoyed serving in bus ministry, parking attendant, as well as working with spiritual family before his health failed. He served honorably as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Army as a 31P20 microwave systems
Operator/Maintainer. After the military, he was employed by Ipswitch, ADP, and the Richmond County Board of Education. Attended high school at Lord Botetourt then went on to earn an associate degree from Savannah River College.

Micah Callands legacy will be cherished by dedicated spouse Lisa M. Callands; children Sons Jovan Callands and Micah DL. Callands, stepchildren Louis A. Bourdeau II (Jamine Bourdeau), Leonda A. Bourdeau, Jonathan Williams (deceased). Parents: William Lanford
Callands and Benda Taylor, both deceased. Step-grandchildren Louis A. Bourdeau III, Nathaniel
Bourdeau. Sister Patrenia Callands Richmond; brothers William Callands (deceased), Ronald
Callands, Ceasare (Shaky) Callands, Terrence Callands, Kareem Callands, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Family will receive friends Friday, September 11, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at City of Refuge Christian
Center, 2659 Lamar Rd, Hephzibah, GA 30815.

The celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2026, at City of Refuge Christian
Center.
Interment will follow at the City of Refuge gravesite behind the gym.
