Mother Christine Warner Brown was born on March 8, 1935, in Concord, Pike County, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Ludie Mae Evans Warner and the late Mr. Emmit Warner. At an early age, she joined Roberts Quarters United Methodist Church. She was educated in the public schools of Upson County and attended M.G. Worthy School.
During her young adult years, she married Mr. Albert C. Brown. To this union, three children were born. Mother Brown was employed as a housekeeper for Mr. Frank Renfroe, where she worked for many years. She was a dedicated and faithful employee.
Mother Brown later joined True Church of God in Christ, which was later renamed Henderson Temple True Church of God in Christ. She loved her church and possessed an unwavering faith in God. She was a wonderful role model for her family and loved the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. She stood firmly on God's Word and faithfully served wherever she was needed. Throughout the years, she served as a Church Mother, choir member, Bible Class Treasurer, and President of the Sisters' Unity. In recognition of her years of faithful service and devotion, she was honored as Henderson Temple's Emeritus Church Mother.
During her leisure time, Mother Brown enjoyed attending church, walking, cooking, and spending time with her family. She also loved wearing her beautiful hats and was known for greeting everyone with a warm smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Albert C. Brown; two sons, Dwight C. Brown and Charles Andy Brown; one grandson, Jonathan Boyd; and three sisters, Dorothy Gray, Imogene Warner Reeves, and Addie Mae Warner.
On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the Lord called her name to come and rest. Her spirit took flight and returned to her Heavenly Father. She will be greatly missed by her family, church family, and community.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Ms. Geraldine Boyd of Thomaston, GA; one grandson whom she raised as her own, Cedric Boyd of McDonough, GA; three other grandchildren, Demetrius Russell, Solomon Brown and Jeremiah Brown all of Thomaston, GA; six great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Joanne Worthy of Melbourne, FL; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sylvia Brown of Thomaston, GA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
