A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mattie R. Byrd, formerly of Newark and Jackson Township, NJ, will be held 11 am, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Grace Cathedral, 54 Elizabeth Avenue, Newark, NJ 07108.

Mrs. Byrd passed away, Sunday, August 30, 2026 after a long illness, surrounded by her family at Belmont Village Senior Living in Dallas, Texas, where she was residing.
