Christine Elizabeth Haynes was born on August 10, 1956, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Willie Derrick Sr. and Ozelia Russell. Christine was raised and educated in Huntsville, Alabama, where she attended school.

She later worked at Tennessee Donut, where she was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and caring heart.

Christine enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and most of all, spending time with her family. She had a beautiful smile, a loving spirit, and a personality that could light up any room. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and companion. Her family meant everything to her, and she loved them with all her heart.

On September 10, 2026, Christine was called home to be with the Lord. Though she is no longer with us, her love, laughter, and memories will forever live in our hearts.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Derrick, Sr. and Ozelia Russell, Willie Lewis Derrick, Jr., Robert Lee Derrick, Joe Henry Derrick, Daniel Derrick, Katherine Nance, Irene Toney, Cassandra Watkins, Connie Smith, and Patricia Lemons; and her grandson, Jordan Haynes.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her devoted children, Terria (Jeffrey “Dollar Bill”) Burns, Jeffery "Bo" (Danielle) Haynes, Tamela Haynes (Travell Price), loving grandchildren, DeVonta Haynes, Terrika Haynes, Jayden West, Makayla Haynes, Jermesia Haynes, KeVonda Haynes, Kevin Haynes, KeAnthony Haynes, KeMelvin Jordan, several great-grandchildren, siblings, Mary Rains, Beverly (David) Ferby, Vera Russell, Billy Derrick, devoted boyfriend, Norman Johnson, devoted best friend, Jeffery Haynes, devoted niece/sister, Rence Martin.
