Cora Bell Snodgress

Funeral service for Cora Belle Snodgress 90, will be Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Greenbrier Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hall Grove Church Cemetery. Mrs. Snodgress passed away on September 9, 2026 at Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Snodgress' remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Visitation will be Friday, from 1 - 6 PM.

Mrs. Snodgress graduated from Ophelia Hill School in Munford, AL. She was a founding member of Deliverance Baptist Church. Her passion for gospel singing was ignited, and became a member of the church choirs, soloist, and later formed the Bradford Singers and formed various groups and organizations. To include, Little Harmonettes, the Singing Angels, Little Shepherd Boys, the Caravans (70 years), and the Voices of Harmony.

She was known locally as "The Queen of Quartet", where she met famous quartet groups and was influenced by the original Caravans and many others. She had a loving heart of a servant, community commitment, and compassion for serving for all. Cora was a well-known entrepreneur; beginning with her career as one of the first female African American School Bus Drivers, Insurance Agent, AVON and Premiere saleswoman, Girl Scout Leader, Newspaper carrier, Owner of Cora's Corner.

Survivors include her children: Cassandra (Robert) Almon, Marquetta Law, Earnest Snodgress Jr., Jacque (Eugene) Allen, Muronda Snodgress and Tishunda Snodgress, 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren; her godchild: Jeffrey Williams, and bonus daughters: Vikki Sturkie, Felecia Bradford, Mary Jane Lane, and Teresa Thomas; loving and caring daughter in love: Evonne Snodgress, 3 sons in love and a very special son, Roland West, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John H and Naomi Bradford, children: Ronnell Snodgress and Carolyn Yates, brothers, Rev. John H. Bradford Jr., Lee Curtis Bradford, Leon Bradford, and Charles Bradford, sisters, Ethel Turner, Mattie Easley, Lucille Spigner, and Annie Adams.
