Graveside service for Claire Rosado, 81, of Opelika, AL, will be at 8:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2026, at Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Pastor Isaac Nunn will officiate.

Ms. Rosado, who passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born August 11, 1945, in Lee County, Alabama.

She confessed her faith in Christ and faithfully attended church online.

She was a proud graduate of Boston State College, now University of Massachusetts. A lifelong reader, she had a deep appreciation for history and was passionate about preserving and honoring its legacy. She also proudly participated in the Selma March every year, remaining committed to remembering and carrying forward the significance of that historic movement. She was also an enthusiastic follower of national politics and current events.

There will be no visitation or public viewing.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Ricardo Rosado of Boston, MA, Alicia (Richard) Grealish of Montgomery, AL and Yvonne “Bonnie” Rosado of Montgomery, AL; one sister, Willie “Nikki” (James) Thornton of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Arthur (Annie) Pearson of Opelika, AL and Tim Pearson of Dayton, OH; a host of other relatives and friends.

There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts. “It was an honor to be your children”.

The family of the late Ms. Clarie Mayes Rosado acknowledges with grateful appreciation all acts of kindness, prayers, cards, telephone calls, flowers, and words of comfort extended to us during our time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.
