Funeral service for Ruth Lockhart, 94, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Mt. Traveler Missionary Baptist Church, 1229 S Dawson Avenue, Waverly, AL, 36879 with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend Benjamin Datiri, Pastor, Reverend Phelix Lockhart, Eulogist.

Ms. Lockhart, who passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at her home in Auburn, Alabama, was born March 17, 1932, in Chambers County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Monday, September 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Order of Eastern Star Service will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Ms. Lockhart will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: five grandchildren, Mekesha McCullough of Auburn, AL, LaQuetta McCullough of Opelika, AL, Marquitta McCullough (Michael Brown) of Lanett, AL, Sabrina Pink (Henry Finley) of Alexander City, AL and Maurice Pink of Wetumpka, AL; thirteen great-grandchildren, Andrevion Pink, Londyn Pink, Cedarious Pink, Carter Pink, Oaklynn Ruth Pink, Keyundra “Markel” Tyson, Christopher “CJ” (Ayanda) Rowell, Tyshaun Rowell, JaVirea Bedell, Carmen Bedell (Eric Callejas) Madison McCullough, Navayah McCullough and Jaunmeko Bedell; five great-great grandchildren; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
